Q: How to delete individual items from purchase history?

Hov can I select individual purchases from App Store in my iPad or iPhone an delete those permanently from history, and still keep those I like, or want to kerp, in the list. And how can I sort them in the list, like you could in Windows 3.0 for MS-DOS ;-)

iPad Mini, iOS 9.2

You cannot delete anything from our purchased list.

    You can hide them:

Hide and unhide purchases in iTunes or iBooks on your ...

One of those incredibly silly limitations of iOS, which don't make you want to try out Apps from the store, because you have to drag them around all yor apple id life :-(

And they invented sorting icons in the eighties, but still you cannot in App Store.

Apple OS won't be the choice for the next generation.

As silly as the fact that you can't delete your purchase history from your credit card account? Or from your Google Pay account? Or your Amazon account? Or your brokerage account?

Why do you feel that Apple should be different from the rest of the world of finance?

Your complaint is ridiculous.  Your purchase history is exactly that:  Your history of items you have purchased (even free purchases).

And what do you mean by 'sorting icons'?  What exactly are you trying to sort and why in the App Store?

What I mean is: Hiding earlier "purchases" (they are not necessarry purchases, but apps you wanted to try if they were worth keeping), doesnt help. Next time you restore your phone or reinstall iTunes they pop up again, and now they are clutter, because you already found out they were useless.

I have lost my interest in trying out apps because of this. Also, remember manu people using iOS crap don't even know how to hide purchases, and end up with loads of clutter in no time.

The reason you sort icons: To get an overview!

I have ordered a Jolla phone, Apple is more made for the Inc. and less made for customers.

No, they don't reappear on your device, unless they were still installed on your device at the time of the backup.  And reinstalling iTunes has nothing to do with what apps are on your device.

It seems like your basic issue is an unfamiliarity with how to delete an app from the device itself.  And that's covered in the manual.

And as far as sorting the icons?  You mean on your iOS device's screen?  Yeah, that's covered in the manual as well, and it's easier than (or as easy as) any other interface I've used.

The issue at hand is your lack of familiarity with the manual, not a failure in design of the device or operating system.

I didn't ask any of those questions. You're replying to the wrong person.

Seriously, how often do you go through your purchased list anyway? And you can't rearrange the icons in the purchased list so what are you talking about.

I hope you enjoy whatever phone it is you purchased.
