What happens currently, when you connect the iPod? Watch the iPod's screen when you connect it. Does it say "Connected" or "Do not disconnect," to acknowledge the connection? Or does it only show the battery charging symbol? Or does it not react at all?
FYI - How you transfer music to an "MP3 player" depends on the product.

Jan 16, 2016 4:15 PM in response to Kenichi Watanabeby bozo999,When I connect my iPod to the computer, it charges just fine but iTunes doesn't recognize it to enable me to load music or delete music from iPod. The iPod itself works just fine. It has playlists and quite a bit of music but I cannot copy new stuff. Bozo999

Jan 16, 2016 4:33 PM in response to bozo999by Kenichi Watanabe,I'm still wondering if the iPod says it's connected to the system (on its screen) or not. iTunes may not recognize it, but it makes a difference to the solution whether the system (Windows) sees the iPod or not. I'll assume that Windows sees the iPod, but iTunes does not.
In your other topic, you said this problem started after upgrading to Windows 10. You may want to try uninstalling iTunes (and related components) and reinstalling. This document explains the procedure
