I'm trying to write a formula that will only sum up positive numbers. The column being added is populated with positive and negative numbers, and I thought a simple SUMIF(Range),>0 would work. I have tried with and without ">0" but I continue to get error icon. Am I doing something wrong, this usually works on Excel but not sure if numbers has a different formula structure. Thanks

Solved it!!! It was a syntax error... Should be written as
SUMIF(RANGE,">0",sum-values)
there are two forms of sumif()
1) SUMIF(A, ">5") will test column to see if each value is greater than 5 since the third argument is omitted the values in column A are tested and summed
2) SUMIF(A, ">5", B) will sum values in column B only if the values in column A are greater than 5
you can sum a range (let's say column A) like this:
=sumif(A, ">0")
if you had the "Compare value" in a cell (maybe cell B1), then you could also use:
=sumif(A, ">"&B1)
