I have a new Magic Mouse 2 and paired it with my Macbook Pro running Yosemite. I can click and physically move the mouse around the page but I cannot scroll vertically or horizontally using my index finger on the mouse.

I understand that multi-touch gestures and scrolling aren't working with your new Magic Mouse 2. In order for gestures and scrolling to work as expected with the Magic Mouse 2, you will need to update your MacBook Pro to El Capitan.
