My daughter's contacts are all on my phone

For some reason , when i write a text message and go to enter the name of the person I am sending to, my daughter's contacts are merged in with mine. When, however , I look at my list of contacts her contacts are not listed in my address book so where are they hiding ?! . Does anyone know why this is and how I can resolve it? I have mistakenly texted a couple of her friends thinking they were mine and it could be embarrassing!

I think I may know why. I now have her old laptop. When she was signed in to cloud on the laptop All her contacts would have been on here. When she gave it to me, she signed out and I signed in . Could it be anything to do with this possibly?

Yes, that may be it. Did you erase the laptop between users, or just switch accounts?
