iPhone 6 won't sync

I just upgraded from a 4s to 6 and when I plug my phone in to sync with my iMac, I get a message that says "The iPhone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes. Go to www.itunes.com to download the latest version if iTunes". However, my iPhone 6 HAS the newest version of iTunes. How can I get all of my songs from my Mac to my phone now? Thanks in advance 🙂

It doesn't have a date other than "TM and Copyright 1983-2011 Apple Inc" The remaining info is the Processor, Memory and Startup Disk. Even if I click on More Info... there are no dates in there either. That said, all indications point to me buying this in early-mid 2009. Through googling, I think i have determined that I need to buy OS X Mountain Lion to get the upgrades. If you have more info on this, I'd gladly take it! 😀

If you go to "About this Mac" and then "more info" the overview pane should list the iMac's year. You can also find the model using the serial number: Identify the model of your iMac - Apple Support and Find your Mac's serial number in About This Mac or System Information - Apple Support.

If you need help updating or checking compatibility please post a new question in the Mountain Lion (or your current OS) area of the forum. Include relevant information such as your current OS and iMac specs. -AJ
