want to set up two separate networks

Do to my inability to keep child from spoofing and getting around my set time limits, I want to set up two separate wifi networks. I have a comcast modem, time capsule, and an old (08) time port extreme. Goals- TC connected to my iMac and run my main network that said child will not have access to. Set up separate network with airport extreme that I will physically cut power to every night. I thought I could plug each router into the modem, there are two ethernet plugs in the back of the modem, and set up two networks. I have plugged both routers into the modem but now cannot find the old router, airport extreme, through my iMac, airport utilities.Running El Capitan on the iMac. Any thoughts, on how to accomplish my goals?

If I can just find the airport and set up a completely second network then I can give him access to that one.

Hopefully, the older AirPort Extreme that you have is not the "round" or "dome" shaped version.....and you have the "flat" or "square" shaped version of the product. Can you confirm on that, please?

Would you be OK if the AirPort Extreme plugged into the back of the Time Capsule instead of the modem? If you connect an Ethernet cable from one of the LAN <--> ports on the Time Capsule to the WAN "O" port on the AirPort Extreme, can AirPort Utility see the AirPort Extreme that way?

Or, if it is important for the AirPort Extreme to connect directly to the modem, can you provide the make and model number of the modem?

As to model # of the extreme not where I can get that.

You can get that from AirPort Utility.

Simply hold down the option key on your Mac while you double click on the picture of the AirPort Extreme.

IF....the AirPort Extreme was set up in Bridge Mode, anyone on the AirPort Extreme network can "see" and probably access devices on the Time Capsule network. Not sure if you want that or not.

Not home. Airport out of bridge mode and currently set up as a second network. Since I had plugged my iMac directly into the time capsule I turned off the wifi. Turned it back on and found the extreme. Just want to know now if this seems like the best way to control internet time.
