Can Apple Watch Send Data to Fit Bit Ap without owning Fit Bit?

Hello:

I received a FitBit Surge for Christmas and subsequently joined challenges with all of my friends on who also have FitBits. However, I found the FB Surge didn't do all of the things I wanted it to do, so I returned it and was given an Apple Watch as a replacement. It counts my steps, measures my activity, ect.. all the the things my FitBit did, but so much more. However, even though I no longer have a FitBit, but still walk and track steps and stairs with my apple watch, I still would like to participate in the challenges with my FitBit friends. Even though I don't own a FitBit anymore, I still get notifications and the ap is still live on my phone and I get invited to challenges, get notifications, messages and such. Is there a way to send my activity data (just steps and floors measured by my apple watch) over to the FitBit ap so I can participate in the challenges with my friends who have FitBits? A friend suggested I just buy the $89 FitBit clip for the steps and stairs, but it seems silly that I have to wear two devices.

Thank you in advance to all who respond and for your helpful comments!

Hi Carole

The Fitbit app presently only syncs with Fitbit's line of activity trackers and basic activity tracked by your iPhone:

- "MobileTrack accurately tracks your basic activity when you carry your phone".

The Fitbit app does not include support for Apple Watch. If you would like the developer to consider adding this, you may wish to let them know:

More information: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/fitbit/id462638897?mt=8

However, you may wish to consider this iPhone app: Matchup - Fitness Challenges

- "We offer cross device compatibility by fetching your step and distance data from the Health App, Fitbit, Jawbone, Withings, Garmin, Misfit, and the Moves App, so that you can participate in activity challenges together."

You may want to look at an app called Sync Solver. It will transfer some data from Health to the FitBit app. I do seem to recall some issue with challenges but, it's been a while since I looked at the app. Note that there are two versions of the app, one to transfer from the FitBit app to Health and one to transfer from Health to Fitbit. Be sure to get the correct one.

Best of luck.

Sync Solver works, there are 2 different apps, one which syncs from apple health to Fitbit and one that works the other way. The only issue is it doesn't count towards challenges with Fitbit, and they will not show on your activities on your watch only on health app itself. You will need both the blue and red iconed Sync solver apps to sync both ways.

they are £2.29 each or a bundle for £4.99 with another app.
