Q: Not able to login on Macbook after changing appleid credentials on other device

dear all,

for security reasons I changed my appleid credentials, I changed bot the email adress (as I started using a new one) as well as my password.

Now when I try to login to my macbook it does not allow me in.

I am sure that I am typing in the right password as I logged in on the appleid site without problems.

I hope anyone can help me with this issue, anything would be appreciated!

Thank you in advance.

    Hi, Mike.

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you changed your Apple ID username and password, but are unable to login to your Mac user account.  Changing this information won't change your login credentials to your Mac, so you should be able to logon to your user account with the old password.  However, here are the steps on how to reset or change your login password for your Mac.  This article will also provide steps on what to do if you are unable to login to your user account.

Change or reset a user account password on your Mac

    Cheers
