It sounds like you're having issues being able to backup your new iPhone 6s to your iCloud account. The following Knowledge Base article offers up some great steps to review for troubleshooting your issue:

A message says my backup could not be completed
- Make sure you're connected to the Internet with Wi-Fi.
- If possible, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network.
- See if you have enough iCloud storage for your backup, and get more storage if you need it.
- If you need more help, contact Apple Support.
