I'm about to purchase a Apple iPhone 5 A1428 (factory unlocked), in the U.S., and about to bring it to Portugal, and wanted to know if it'll work here. I have checked the forum and saw that some posts came around this question, but it did not clear all my doubts because I don't understand anything about GSM or LTE networks, so I wish you guys could help me on this one.

I understand that you are wanting to use an iPhone 5 in Portugal but want to make sure that it will work there. I would take a look at the link below to go over which model's of iPhone's work in specific countries. For yours, it looks like you will need the model number A1429.
