Is there a crash report generated? If so post the first 50 lines of it.


What version of iDVD are you using? The last version available was 7.1.2.

Hi there, I'm experiencing same problem. iDVD 7.1.1 (the 7.1.2 updater will not run).

Appreciate the benefit of your wisdom and experience.

You're missing a system component needed by iDVD: iLifeSlideshow.framework. It should be located in the System/Library/PrivateFrameworks folder

You can use the free Find Any File to search for it on your hard drive. If you have it it'll show up like this:

The only way I know of to get it back is to download and apply the iLife Support 9.0.4 updater.You may get a warning message that the iLifemediabrowser files doesn't exist but just click on Continue. If it won't install open the package with the demo version of Pacifist and manually install the iLifeSlideshow.framework. The installer package has two of each item in it for some reason so just select one of the iLifeSlideshow.framework packages and install. User uploaded file

Reboot and try iDVD again.
