My telephone provider sends me voicemails via an email with an attached .wav file. How can I listen to these on my iPad (or iPhone)?
I have ain iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6s. Both run the current iOS.

Try VLC. The Mac version can play those files, but I could not find anything definitive for the iOS apps. -AJ

When I try to open it, a screen appears that says, "loading," but nothing happens after that. I have downloaded OPlayer HD Lite, but it does not help (and there are no instructions how to get something into it anyway).
I have asked my provider why it doesn't work, but I have not yet heard from them.
Is there a trick I am missing?
I just tap on them in my email and they play just fine.
Yep, as Templeton says, it just works for me.
What happens when you try? There are literally 100s of ways to create a WAV file. It could be your flavour from your provider is not compatible.
