I don't know whats going on with my mac but right now my pages start up menu bar looks like this
but I want it to look like this
is there any way I can change this? I want the favorites bar back on the left side there. Its fustrating to go to my users then to the file that leads to another file which leads to another file just so many files before I get to what I need. Any suggestions would help?

If you open Finder and then select Preferences in the menu named Finder and then click Sidebar at the top of the Finder Preferences window, is there anything selected to display in the Favorites section?
This is what came up but this only edits the bar in finder though
The Finder Sidebar Preferences also affect what is shown in the Sidebar in Pages (and other applications) Save and Open dialogs -- at least it does for me with OS X 10.11.2
I just tested it again and it does work for me. With those settings, you should be seeing Desktop, Documents etc in Pages in the sidebar. Not sure what else is gong on.
A simple restart often fixes these glitches.

If I take off the devices it takes them off in pages as well. I don't know why that the favorites is not poping up as well. Thank you for your help anyways.
Never mine it worked i just had to uncheck everything open up pages then recheck everything. Thank you for your help.
