Have been trying to get my Turbotax Deluxe CD installed on my iMac. When disc appears on the screen, I move it as instructed, to the applications folder on the desktop. The only thing that transfers is the Alias. I know the application is on the disk. I have also changed the security prefs to allow any download, as instructed by Apple.
iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2013), iOS 9.2

When the disk appears on the screen, you need to open the disk by double clicking it
A window will appear with an icon for Turbotax and another icon for Applications.
Drag the Turbotax icon over to the Applications folder icon

You don't drag the disk to the applications folder. You drag the program on the disk.
Well thanks Bob and Dialabrain! I feel like the dummy I am! I've used Turbotax for about 10 years and I guess as an old geezer, I am forgetting how to do stuff.
Why won't Turbotax Deluxe move into my applications folder?
