trim video

Question

I have noticed that when I trim video in Photos App on Mac it actually does not trim. I can recover from trim anytime.

it there the way to trim it inside Photo App permanently without Exporting/Importing videos from/to Mac

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Photos uses nondestructive editing so the original (digital negative) is always maintained without modification - you can not change this
