You can do it using MyPHotoStream, Shared PhotoStreams or using iTunes sync

Alright, I'll go to the Mac Pro and launch iTunes. Right? Let's see how intuitive the interface is - and how quick-witted I am!
1. Will I drag a whole folder onto the iPad? Drop that into iPads "Photos"?
2. Or drag images into a folder that I create on iPad? Any preference?
Still, on a good day, I would like to _somehow_ access a large number of photos (perhaps kept in my iCloud account, or elsewhere) and drag only some of these images onto the iPad. (I may be far away from the office and suddenly need some files without warning.)
If that is just not possible, does one need to carry memory cards (or flash drives) containing (numerous) images from a library?
And is it an "iPad dongle" one uses to connect the card to the iPad?
Or Bluetooth storage for the iPad?
With thanks Larry - and in advance to any others who wish to chime in.
Best,
David

As to iCloud you need to define which iCloud service you are using - there are several and each has different operational caharastics
