programing the remote in DVD SP4

I am having a little trouble with my simulator remote. When I go from my main menu to a track, the track plays fine. But when I want to return to the previous menu, I press the menu button and I end up in the DVD opener movie. WhenI am in a menu screen pressing title takes me to mu opener, and pressing menu doesn't let me get out of the opener.

I know this is just a simulator, but when the DVD is inserted, I want someone to be able to skip the opening title if they choose and go straight to the menu. I also want them to have the option to leave a track and go back to the menu for which the track is linked.

Here is my tree

DVD Opener - first play

Menu 1 goes to tracks

Menu 2 goes to tracks

Menu 3 goes to slide shows.

Maybe I am missing something? I have been searching the manual, but I can't get things right.

Cheers.

Take a look here

Has some images of what I am about to describe.

Press the F3 Key to get the advance layout. Then go to outline view. To the right of the blue section you will see the viewer. Take a look at the connections tab (it is the third tab)

You can set how items behave (jump) there. You can click on the image below to make it a bit larger. If you look you will see options for jumps, and there is an option for the menu key. To skip the opener, people often press the Next key, so you can use a marker towards the end of the opening track and have it jump to the first menu. Set the menu key for each track back to the menu from where it came. (Note that the title button may take you back to the beginning regardless, so you can set a pre-script and post-script with a variable, so if the variable is equal to a number (you determine) it means it has played, then kick people back to the menu you want them to go to. (Sorry I am a little vague, not quite sure on your navigation set-up, can people move between the menus from the other menus?)

Some more places where I discuss various jumps and returns. Also note that simulator is not perfect, and burning and testing on a real DVD is always the way to go. Anyway, let me know if this makes sense or I missed something along the way.
