Imovie for iPad how to import files on local server

I Store all of my MP4(go pro) footage on my local server(WD MyCloud) but am unable to get them into iMovie. Others locations in addition to iCloud such as Google Drive, and onebox are options but want to be blue to link direct to my personal cloud device. Anyone know how to do that?
