Q: Signing out of Apple ID

Hi,

We use iPads for teaching in school. They are all set and synced. But I can't see a way to keep kids from signing out of our school apple id and signing in with their own. Is there a restriction for this?

iPad, iOS 9.2

    Hi PatriceRobert,

Restrictions is able to prevent changes from being made for account settings which would prevent signing in using a different Apple ID. See this article - Use Restrictions on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Specifically -

    Changes to settings and accounts

    • Accounts (you can prevent changes to Mail, Contacts, Calendars, iCloud, Twitter, Facebook, Vimeo, Flickr, iTunes, App Store, iMessage, and FaceTime)
    • Cellular Data Use (you can prevent changes to cellular-data settings on cellular-enabled devices)
    • Background app refresh
    • Find My Friends (available when you install the Find My Friends app)
    • Volume limit
    • Cellular data use (available only on cellular-enabled devices)

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

    Sincerely.
