Q: deleting IOS 9.2.1 beta

I have tried to delete the IOS 9.2.1 beta on my iPhone and iPad and it still comes up.  I now know that 9.2.1 has been publicity released and when I try to go to the software update on my phone it says that the beta is still there and it won't let me install the beta so that I can move to the new release.  How do I get by the beta to install the new release?

This beta is no longer a beta for it has been released.  I just want to know how to delete the beta from my iPhone and iPad so I can go to the released version.

    Hi Mark,

I also had this problem but figured it out. Here is what you need to do:

    1) Delete the Beta Profile: Go to Settings>General>Profile>iOS 9 Beta Software Profile. The press where it says delete profile.

    2) Back up your iDevice: You will need a computer with iTunes installed on it for the next few steps. Connect your device to your computer. iTunes should open automatically. Then click on the icon of the device that is on the right of the three dots near on the top left on the screen of the screen. From here, you have to click on the button that says 'Backup now'. Follow the steps prompted by iTunes and let the back up take place.

    3) Restore iDevice: Now you have to factory reset your phone. Don't worry though, the backup that you made before will be put back on the iPhone after the reset. Click on the button that says 'Restore iPhone' (may say iPad or iPod depending on the device). All you need to do now is follow the steps prompted by iTunes.

    4) Restoring a Backup: When the restore is over, your iPhone will act as if it is brand new. Your iPhone should still be connected to iTunes. If it is, then you can follow the steps in the iTunes window to set up your iPhone. One of the choices for setting up your Phone again will be 'Restore from this backup'. You can choose the backup that you made before. When that is done, you can carry on with the set up.

And that's it! After you have followed these steps, you iPhone will have left the Beta Testing Programme

    Hope this helps,

    Aaron
