error message not connected to the internet when updating ios9

I get an error message that I'm not connected to the internet when trying to install updates of IOS 9.1 on my iPhone 6s. How can I solve this?

If you are attempting to update it wirelessly (also known as over-the-air) via a WiFi connection, you may find the information and troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful:

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network - Apple Support
