Can't enable journaling
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11)
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch,Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11)
I had this problem as well, and I was able to solve it by first clicking on "Erase." After erasing, I was able to journal and partition the drive. I think WD drives are default formatted for Windows and that might be why they need to be erased first.
The dialog above says that you must cancel the partition command and then enable journaling. So working with the screen above, click OK to get rid of the warning then click cancel in the other dialog, now go to the menu to enable journaling on the disk...
If you look at the dialog box in your picture you will see that you already have journaling selected. Look at the "Format:" drop down... it says "OS X Extended (Journaled)".
Yes, I done which the dialog said already, but "Enable journaling" still disable click, that why I can't understand what this means?
Anw Thank Duane for helping, Do you have any solution?
