Yes, Aperture is a professional software, compared to Photos. Both are targeting a different group of customers. it is a pity, that there will be no professional level photos application made by Apple.

There have been plenty of similar requests posted here.

Use the feedback form to file your request as well: Apple - Aperture - Feedback

You can still use Aperture, as long as you do not upgrade to a MacOS X version that does no longer support it, but Aperture 3.6 is working on MacOS X 10.11.3.

Thanks Léonie for aperture "Enhancement request" link.

Indeed even using your gr8 help for photos, Aperture is far above Photos.

Using your link, I just posted the following :

"Stop iLobotomy: Keep Aperture and maintain it as a professional Apple App

Please stop the iLobotomy. Photos is poor and it is a pity, that there will be no professional level photos application made by Apple. Apple's reputation is degrading (fading).

Mac User since 1988.

I am sad for me AND for you."
