Q: my wife's iphone is trying to kill me

between 3:30 and 4:00 am, my wife's iPhone will make some kind of tri-tone notification jingle.    it wakes me up and i can't get back to sleep.  Then when driving home from work I'm fighting like mad to stay awake.

my company supplies a Samsung, so i don't use iPhones, but my wife and three of my children have iPhones.  i don't like iPhones - that must be why one is trying to kill me.

my wife is convinced that she has all notifications turn off, whatever.  she says she needs the phone for her alarm, and if one of the kids should happen to call.

please help.  please help.  i have looked through the some of the posts here and not found a clear answer.

Make sure the iPhone is charged.

Make sure the all sounds and notifications are disabled.

Try restarting/resetting the iPhone. This won't delete your data stored on this device.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.

Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

Please, stop being paranoid and overly dramatic. You will be taken seriously if you do. Read here about Do not Disturb:

Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Maybe you need to take a look and make sure your wife's phone has DND set up correctly.

Agreed. The theatrics are unnecessary and quite lame.
