Iphone 5S IOS 9.2 (13C75) I can connect in my car with Blue Tooth for making phone calls, but it does not connect to the speaker. To make the connection with the car the procedure has been completed correctly. With iPhone 5 it works perfectly correct.

    Howdy ,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

I see you're trying to get your iPhone to interface with your car's stereo via Bluetooth.  To get this set up please follow through the steps outlined below.

    If you're using Bluetooth

    1. Check your car stereo's user manual for steps about pairing with a Bluetooth device.
    2. On your iOS device, swipe up to open Control Center, then tapBluetooth icontwice to turn Bluetooth off and back on.
    3. Restart your iOS device.
    4. On your iOS device, unpair your car stereo. On your car's display, unpair your iOS device and any other devices. Restart your car and your iOS device, then pair and connect again.
    5. Update your iOS device.
    6. Install any firmware updates for your car stereo.
    7. If you still can't connect, contact Apple Support.

    Cheers.

Hi, Thanks for your attention and suggestions. I did all of your actions, but nu result.

The strange thing is dat the 5S is connected to the car and I can play a youtube song by using the iPhone with Blue Tooth.

I can hear the song on the car audio speaker.

It is also possible to use the phone button on the steering wheel to select a telephone number. The number is selected and I have a connection, but I do not hear anything on the car speakers.

With the iPhone 5 (my wife's phone) it works all perfectly!

After a lot of investigations I just figured out what te solution is for my mentioned problem to make my iPhone 5S work with Blue Tooth an the car handsfree car speaker.

It was after all very simple.

    Here is the solution:

    1. Connect the iPhone blue tooth with the car audio system in the normal way.

    2. When you dial a telephone number from the telephone book in the car, you have to look at the iPhone and press the speaker button.

Then you see two possibilities: iPhone speaker and the other one is the Car speaker

Select the car speaker and the system worked perfectly.

    Problem solved!
