Q: What app from Canon will link my iPad to a new Canon PIXMA MG2920 printer and why does my iPad seek only an AirPrinter but cannot find the Canon?

MY subject title is the summary.

Your printer is wireless - but unfortunately not Airprint capable. Thats why your ipad cannot see it. There is a Canon print app available which may help you - its called PPS - so take a look in the app store.

I took your suggestion and read the Apple doc. I read Dilbert41's response. Then I went back through the Canon two-page directions to see where I got off track. The app Air Print Lite seems to have good reviews and be the best fit to link an iPad to the Canon MG2920. I will try that by tomorrow and see what happens. Thanks for your response.

I found out this model Canon ($39.00) is not Apple compatible. I gave it away and went back to my HP DJ3054 J11j. what a waste of time and of course $40.

Can you get it back or is it too late? The Canon MG2900 series printers are not Airprint ready but they should work with your iPad nonetheless. If you download the Canon App below (available on the App Store) it should let you print from the iPad. See the list of supported printers:
