Cannot turn off iCloud backups for Photo Library

I have the same problem. It's imposible for me to do a Backup through iCloud because I can't turn off any of the apps, the photo library included. I haven't found a solution on forums yet.

Same problem. Want to back up calendars and contacts only. I have too many photos for the 5 GB limit so I back those up manually to my computer.

SO do we just all have the same issue and no resolution to this?

I Actually may have found the answer. Whatever you don't want backed up, delete off iPad. I believe this error message we are getting is because the app is on our device. I didn't realize I was trying to turn off a back up of an app that was on my device. I was just in general shutting some off, then I realized I already deleted the apps, once I did that, I deleted the entire backup from the computer and now I still get that error message, but it's because it's backing up apps that are on my device currently.
