Q: iWork and iLife isn't free anymore, though it was before

Recently I dowloaded pages for free. That was about a week ago, and back then other apple made apps like garageband, iMovie, Keynote and etc.

were free too. Now it says that they cost 9,99€ each. I'm still signed on same Apple ID. Could You help me with this problem?

Hi there,

If you downloaded them before for free, even though it now has a price, when you try to download them and put your password in, it will say: This update is free because you own a previous version of this item. To get this update now, select OK.' So basically it is free.

Thank you for the reply Aaron!

The thing is that I did not download all the iWork and iLife apps when they were still free, but now I need them and I can not. Is there a way to get it free? I have two devices that fall into the category that gets them for free, but on both of them now these apps can only be downloaded if I pay. I added a picture with pages app that I downloaded in time, when it was still free, and what was a free and became paid iMovie app.

Sorry, I couldn't understand if you still tried putting the iTunes pass-code in. If you have to pay it will tell you and you can cancel it, but maybe it will work?

I tried doing just that. I pressed on price, then I pressed "Buy" and it started downloading without asking for a password. Does it mean that it is free, despite the written price? By the way, it did not show that message: "This update is free because you own a previous version of this item."
