carplay list of available cars

Car Play did not exist in 2011. No car from then would have it. Car Play requires hardware built into the cars media center which was only made available in 2014.

Cars made before 2014 would not have it at all. Its only recently begun to be included in the newer cars.

I am sitting in the driver’s seat of my 2011 Honda Odyssey and it has a button identical to what is displayed for Apple’ CarPlay feature. If this isn’t a CarPlay button, then what is it? (don’t know with why the pic is turned)

There is no "CarPlay button". That's the voice command button for the system in your car. It may be able to control functions on the head unit, but in a 2011, it's probably just for voice dialing a bluetooth connected phone.

As several of the models mentioned ot have it, don;t really have any mention of it in their tech specs page of each specific dealer.

The available cars list on the iPhone will just show Car Play enabled cars near the iPhone for it to connect to. It is not a general list of Carplay enabled vehicles.

Also features vary by trim and region for any given vehicle, so its very difficult to maintain an accurate list, when a specific vehicle and trim may have it in one region, but might not in another.

Your best bet is to ask at the Dealership whether the car you are interested has a trim that offers Carplay or if its an additional package.

2016 Honda Accord (EX Trim only)

Honda only started to support it in ANY model with the 2016's. And even then, there is no backwards compatibility update for 2015's, so I highly doubt any 2011 model is going to support it. After all, Apple only released CarPlay in 2014 to begin with.
