Q: I dropped the Apple pencil the tip seemed cracked.

My pencil has also cracked just above the removable tip. I did not drop it or abuse it it any way. It just appears to be a weak spot in the plastic casing. I hope mine doesn't get worse as of now its still working. I had a local store contact apple about warranty coverage and they told me that it would not be covered. I plan on contacting apple myself. After only a couple weeks of normal use I shouldn't be having this issue.
