i have found an ipod 5th generation (DJ********JFD) . i would like to find the owner and return or if not return allow them the option to decide on what they want to do. i have contacted apple but they seem to not be able to assist me.

Is it protected with a passcode or can you get into it? If it's connected to Wi-Fi, try holding down the home button to talk to Siri and say "whose iPod is this?"

If neither is possible, turn it into your local police.

it is activated locked. the local police in my country will keep it or throw it in the rubbish....
