Voice Memos won't work with bluetooth

While using your Bluetooth headphones or speaker just go into your voice memos and at the upper right hand corner there should be a speaker symbol. Double tap it and it should give you the option of using whatever Bluetooth device you’re using

The updated Apple software does not allow voicemail to Bluetooth to a wireless speaker; however, you can stream to a wireless speaker through a wire plug in that connects through your headphone jack.

This does not work the speaker icon in the top right corner only switches between speaker and regular listening. AirPods definitely do not work with voice memos on my x phone.

I can’t get Voice Memos to play to Apple Air Pods, which is very frustrating! I’ve tried resetting, restarting, it’s a very stupid bug. Come on Apple!

Product quality is really getting worse after Steve. Apple can’t even make sure their own software work properly.

Same here, I always use voice memo after visiting customers, and then playpack at the office. Extremely frustrating to need to plug in my wired headphones to listen privately to my memos.

I have the same problem. This is a new thing, I use voice memos for rehearsals and like to play over the speaker to review and practice. Very inconvenient new glitch.

Same issue ! Just bought the AirPods for the sole purpose of being able to listen to my voice memos in peace .... guess what - the voice memos don’t play in the AirPods

I didn’t know this was a problem that has been around for so long - APPLE FIX IT I don’t understand why we have to deal with this useless

Yu can try the following but there may be a bug in iOS

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

Restore your device from an iCloud or iTunes backup - Apple Support

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

Tried all the same steps, and have been having the exact same issue since around the time of your original post.
Used to connect to bluetooth no problem, and I could play back my demos on the bose speaker fine until that one IOS update.

Would love to have this ironed out, it was so handy.

Same problem here. Looking around on the forum, it seems like it's been around for a long time. Hope this is not a feature?
