Q: ONLY the MENU button works on my Apple TV!

My Apple TV Remote isn't working with my Apple TV.  The menu button works fine.  But it's the ONLY button that works!  The up/down/left/right button, the OK/Enter button, and the Play/Pause button -- NONE of them work. The Apple TV doesn't recognize them.

I've tried replacing the battery with a brand new, fresh battery.  It makes no difference.  Same problem.

I would reset the Apple TV Remote - but I CAN'T because the Apple TV doesn't recognize any of the up/down/left/right buttons are being pressed or held down in the first place!

HELP!
