Q: iPhone Recently Added on Music App

Looking for info on how to remove or manage the "Recently Added" area on the Music App.  My daughter purchases music regularly.  So her music tends to be what shows-up on the Recently Added area.  Is there a way to remove this feature, or edit the parameters by which the music is listed?

Thank you,

    Hi mucrick,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! I'm sorry to hear you are having these issues with the Music app on your iPhone. Based on your description, it sounds like your daughter may be sharing your Apple ID/iTunes Store account, either directly on your iPhone or on another device. Generally it is recommended that accounts not be shared for several reasons, one of which being situations like this:

Can I share an Apple ID with someone else?

Your Apple ID should not be shared with anyone else. It provides access to personal information including contacts, photos, device backups, and more. Sharing your Apple ID with someone else means you are giving them access to all your personal content and may lead to confusion over who actually owns the account. To share iTunes & App Store purchases, photos, a calendar, and more with someone else, try Family SharingiCloud Photo Sharing, or other easy-to-use sharing features.

If you would like to set up a separate account for your daughter but still have common access to content with centralized billing (and/or monitor her purchases if she is a minor), you may want to look into setting up Family Sharing.
