Unsupported apps

I bought an app a couple of days ago and had a problem. I asked for support and was told that it was no longer supported and it seems it hasn't been supported since about 2013. They also raised the price in the last two days. This doesn't seem right that they are still selling apps that have problems and are not being supported. It is the whole icollect line. I also tried to post a review and it isn't happening.

Is there a way to report it so it can be removed from the app store?

Even this website is hard to find your way around.

Developers stop supporting some apps occasionally, there's nothing you can do about it.

As to the price change, Apple has recently decided to review the App Store pricing in a number of countries.

I can't even post a review warning people of this. If someone can turn off the ability to post reviews, surely they can either make the app free or remove it from the store. At the very least, the vendor should post on the description that the app is no longer supported and you should buy at your own risk. It will be a long while before I buy another app.

It might help if you post the actual name of the app.

Apps are supported by their developers not Apple.

If you purchased an app that doesn't perform its function at the time of purchase then Apple should be able to give you a refund. Use https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ and explain the issue.

If an app stops working some after some reasonable period of time, e.g because the developer is no longer running some website it relies on, or because an iOS update has removed functionality, then you are out of luck, stuff happens.
