Smart keyboard iPad Pro

Hi,

While using the Smart Keyboard on my iPad Pro, I'm not able to switch to the software keyboard. Other physical keyboards for iPad (such as Logitech ultrathin) have a designated button for switchting between software and hardware keyboards, which is especially useful when you need to a symbol or accent to the text. Am I overlooking a button or shortcut for switching, or is it indeed not available?

Many thanks,

Sjoerd

When you type using the Smart Keyboard, the bottom line of the screen shows a predictive keyboard with word suggestions based on what you are typing. In the lower right corner is a downward pointing carat or chevron (v). If you touch and hold on that, the on screen keyboard will appear. It stays until you touch that chevron again.

If you touch the chevron without holding, the predictive keyboard disappears. If that happens, Touch the space-bar on your physical keyboard and The predictive keyboard will reappear again.

Good luck!
