Getting DVD (Handbrake) movie into iTunes to sync to iPod

I just used Handbrake for the first time to copy a DVD that I'd like to sync to my iPod. How do I get this into iTunes so that I can then sync my iPod to it? Do I "Add to Library", do I "Import", or do I do it in a different way?

Just File>add to library and then choose the file location will bring the file into your library. The movie should then sync automatically to your ipod if you have your ipod set up to do so.
If the movie will not go on to your ipod you may need to convert the movie to the correct resolution for your ipod. I use a piece of software called iSquint which you can readily download from MacUpdates.

I've been transferring DVDs to my iPod using Handbrake. I just drag the completed file to the "Movies" window in iTunes. Then, once the movie has been loaded into iTunes, I drag the movie to my iPod.

If you get an error message about not being able to move the movie to your iPod, there's a converter in iTunes under the Advanced menu that will perform the final conversion. This process may take a while depending upon the length of the original movie.

Good Luck!
