Jan 22, 2016 6:32 AM in response to Rothschildby DL7BJ,Same here in Germany. A credit card is not an option for me. Gift cards aren't also an option, there is no credit on it, if I need it ;-)
Best practice is something like Click&Buy with direct debit. Amazon has it too, why Apple not?
So, if there will be no possibility with direct debit, I will buy only Kindle books, order my Music only at Amazon and use only free apps.

Jan 22, 2016 8:22 AM in response to itunes999by King_Penguin,itunes999 : from the Apple Support page that you originally linked to : Set up mobile phone billing as your payment method in the iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store - Apple Support
Mobile phone billing is currently available with select carriers in Germany and Russia.

Jan 22, 2016 8:41 AM in response to itunes999by DL7BJ,These instructions are not usable. On iPad and iPhone I got this message after taping on payment options "Click & Buy is not available on this device, use the iTunes Store on your PC". If I click the link, I shall download iTunes. But I have only Linux computers, there is no chance to run iTunes on this devices.
