Apr 22, 2016 4:28 PMby ben_cheever,I have the same problem, why do they do this? An app that a parent deems fit for themselves, is not always suitable for use with an 8 year old! This is a major flaw, if you have the request to buy/install apps but they can download any app you've already used, that seems silly.

Content can be hidden by family members; hidden content is not available for download. Content downloaded from family members or acquired via redemption codes is not subject to Ask to Buy.

Apr 22, 2016 5:06 PMby ben_cheever,This only helped somewhat, I had saw this previously that you can hide an app from iTunes purchases. But, if you search for the app on my childs device there is still a cloud next to it. As soon as you click on it, it downloads it. I guess the bigger problem is the age rating on the app in question. It's listed 4+ but it's clearly not for 4 year olds to use.

Apr 22, 2016 8:44 PMby gail from maine,Well, I can't help with the rating issue but you need to download it on your child's device, then delete it from that device by holding your finger on the icon until they all start to wiggle. Then lift your finger and tap on the "x" in the upper left-hand corner of the icon. Once it is removed from the device and hidden, your child should no longer be able to see it at all.
