Apple Music Splash Screen

When I open Apple Music on my iPhone 6S (iOS 9.2.1 13D15) I get the Apple Music splash screen. I saw this screen once before the last time Apple Music updated and I chose 'not thanks, not interested in a 3-month Apple Music trial'. The problem is that now there are no buttons on the screen. I can't get past the splash screen into my music. Restarting the phone doesn't fix this, resyncing with iTunes doesn't fix this. Obviously I can't re-install Apple Music. I am _not_ resetting my iPhone to fix this. I want _my_ music back. Actually, I want iTunes back to what it was before being mushed-together with the kluge that is Apple Music, but that's another topic altogether... Anything I can do? Or do I just have to wait for the next Music App update and hope that this is fixed with that?

No idea if this will work, but go to Settings>Music>Show Apple Music>Off. If that doesn't show the choice to go to your music, go back and toggle that setting on and off again.

Fair idea. I tried toggling the Show Apple Music switch 'On' to no effect. Turned it 'Off' -- same. Also tried hitting the "Join Apple Music" link in the settings. I am taken to Apple Music and the same screen is shown (with no buttons / options at the bottom of the splash screen).

I have also attempted to get into Apple Music by seaching for a song in Spotlight then clicking on the results -- same splash screen. I can play an individual song in Spotlight, so I know my music is still there in the background. But I don't want to play songs one at a time and have to search for each one!

Did you try force closing the Music app and force restarting the phone?

Press the Home button two times quickly. You'll see small previews of your recently used apps. Swipe left to find the app you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview to close it

To force restart your device, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Force restart is the winner! Once I was back in, the splash screen showed the 'would you like a 3 month trial of Apple Music?' option once again. I thought I said no to this already 😠
