Add Ram to iMac 27 late 2012

Hi guys.
I have an iMac 27" late 2012, 3,2 GHz Intel Core, RAM 16 GB DDR3 1600 MHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675MX 1024 MB, model number A1419, EMC 2546.

Now I would like add 8 GB of RAM (4+4+8+8) but in the Apple Reseller says that isn't possible... 32 GB or nothing.

Also I ask to add an extra disk SSD (now there the classic HDD 1TB), but says that isn't possible... only Fusion Drive od SSD 1TB.

I'm confuse...

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

You now have two 8 GB modules in the upper two slots. The lower two slots are empty and you want to add two 4 GB modules. You may do that. The reseller is wrong. However, RAM cost is pretty cheap, and you are looking at adding to 24 GBs or 32 GBs. How much more will two 8 GB modules be over two new 4 GB modules? Just be sure you have the correct specs:

Maximum Memory32 GB
Memory Slots4 - 204-pin PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM

Reliable vendors are OWC, DataMem, and Crucial.

***Slight warning***

I have the same model iMac. I had a very hard time removing the RAM door as it is a tad difficult to get to as well as installing the RAM. You needed the strength of Arnold Schwarzenegger to install the RAM. The repair tech ended up coming to my house (I have AppleCare) to install & even he had a very hard time seating the RAM.

What he ended up doing was placing the iMac face down (screen down) on the table. Had trouble removing the RAM door as I did. He had to use his whole body strength to get the RAM into the slots. He also used the rubber handle of my hammer to slightly tap the ends of the RAM into the slots. Once you hear the "click," the RAM is seated correctly.
