Q: No Sound

I have a monitor with Apple TV connected and running.  OK now how do I get sound?  I thought it would come through my computer that is on the same network.....

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2014), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

It would depend on the monitor your using I would think.  Does the monitor HDMI port work as a pass thru for audio?  What audio is connected to your monitor? Or are you expecting the speakers connected to your computer to play the ATV audio?
