Hello Folks,
i want as seen on top transfer my complete libraries (iMovie, Photos, iTunes) tranfer to my new iMac. From an Mac Mini end 2012.
Both systems are running on El Capitan.
What is the best Way to do this?
PS: i wont do an complete Backup cause i will clean up in the same step.

Congrats on your new iMac! There are a few ways to transfer your medial libraries to your new iMac. Let's go over how these steps work as far as moving your library to a new location.
The first three articles will go specifically for the three apps that you listed: iMovie, Photos and iTunes. I have to point out that I used an iPhoto article but the steps are the exact same for Photos.

Now it comes to the part of moving this over. You can use and external hard drive to move the contents or you can use Target Disk Mode. What you will want to do is start up in Target Disk Mode by pressing the T key while powering on your Mac Mini. Then you will want to connect a Thunderbolt cable to both Mac's and the Mac Mini will show up as an external hard drive. Take a look at the next article for more details on Target Disk Mode.

Now if you have not setup your iMac just yet, you could always use Migration Assistant. With this option, you can be selective on what folders will migrate over if you are looking for just your pictures, movies and music.
