Mouse has been jumping and moving on its own

As far as the mouse is concerned, it could be a problem with interference. Is it the new Magic mouse 2? Have you another mouse in the room or introduced new electronics, phone hub, router etc.

If it's a wireless mouse then low battery power in addition to wireless interference can cause jumpy or sporadic behavior with the cursor.

FWIW, the screen and mouse problem could be hardware related. How old is your Mac?

One other possibility is the surface that your mouse is moving on. Glossy surfaces can cause erratic behavior from optical mice.

I forgot to mention it and no one else did but, it's not being caused by malware or a virus.

You can never tell, but your machine is not really old. My machine is 2007 and going strong. You haven't said how old the mouse is or if you have introduced new electronic items into the room. Have you changed its location recently?
