Q: change default OS X shortcut (Sleep Display)

Hello, i am wondering if i am able to change "Sleep Display" shortcut which is ctrl+shift+eject by default...

I want to change i it to some functional key. I was looking for some solution on the web but i only found Karabiner which gave me an option to change this shortcut to eject key, but this isn't still what i am looking for.

Please let me know someone. Have a nice day.

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5), :)

BetterTouchTool has the ability to create a Hotkey that will sleep the display

While BetterTouchTool is free today, the author has announced that it will be going to a paid app in the next month or so.

I personally think BetterTouchTool is an invaluable trackpad, mouse, keyboard enhancement tool.  I use it with my iMac and Magic Trackpad, as well as my Macbook Pro.  I've added several additional trackpad gestures I use all the time, and a lot of keyboard hotkeys.  What I like is the ability to create the same gesture to send a different app command-key-sequence to do the same task. For example lots of apps have tabs, but they all seem to use a different command-key-sequence to switch tabs.  I just create the same trackpad gesture for each app and have it that gesture send the correct command-key-sequence to switch tabs.

By the way.  You should also be able to create a System Preferences -> Screen Saver - Hot Corner -> Put Display to Sleep
