Q: Apple pencil fix for 'stopped working' and it should be working
This is not a question but a tip / troubleshooting / quick fix for the pencil. It was my experience that the tip which can be replaced is more fragile than I would like. It was rendered useless from travel in my backpack. I barely got it to work after that. The next time I used it I went somewhere and put the pencil in my pocket.... With the TIP UPWARDS. It was done after that.
I Found the extra tip and THAT worked, but what of my old tip? Is it made of fairy dust ?!?! Can't be moved but in a fluffy case....Whatever...
I Got it to work again ...
Razor blade cut back the part that screws in. Perhaps a file or sand paper would be more appropriate. However, the whole tip Needs to be shorter. ONLY a few microns!!! I shaved off the thickness of a piece of paper! It needs to screw in farther. BECAUSE > there is a contact at the very end of the tip. When the replaceable tip is screwed in it pushes against it and it appears to be a tight tolerance.
Lesson learned, I will be traveling with the TIP loosened from now on.
