My MacBook Air lags for a few seconds when I shake it or move it around and then comes back to normal. Anyone experiencing the same problem?? If so is there any fix for that?

My product details are:

MacBook Air Early 2015

El Capitan 10.11.3

256 GB SSD

4 GB RAM

The issue is particularly with the dock and there are frame drops and scrolling through pages in the launchpad is laggy. All this happens for 3 -4 seconds when I carry the laptop or rest it in some place or move the screen back n forth. Please somebody help out. It would be great. I even tried reinstalling the OS 3 times n still this is not fixed.

You might run Apple Diagnostics. That may offer a clue:

I also recommend an appointment at an Apple store genius bar. You may have a loose connection inside the MBA. Intermittant hardware problems are very difficult to diagnose.

I have seen it once, manifest especially when carrying with the lid open.

a bad connector in the screen hinge area. Hardly a do it yourself issue.

You probably are covered by warranty.

Sorry..but What's Apple Store GENIUS BAR? I already went to an apple store service near me, they said that it could be a software issue and they themselves were very confused and they told me to leave my mac there for 5 days so that they could run tests on it but I was a little bit hesitant and didn't do that.

I sense that you may live where there are no Apple stores. They have 'genius bars' that diagnose and often repair hardware problems for Apple customers. Check where you live if there are any Authorized Apple Service Providers and visit one of them.

Lex may have determined where the faulty lies.

I live in Chennai,India and in India there are no directly Apple controlled Apple Stores is what I heard. So I'm guessing you're referring to a directly controlled store. Also I just ran that Apple diagnostics test that u linked me to. It said No Issues Found. So does this mean that Lex's answer doesnt apply to me??

The diagnostics is not 100% comprehensive so Lex's conjecture is still valid. You will have to find a trustworthy repair facility or contact Apple and arrange to ship the MBA to them for service.

A problem is that in India Apple is not present (banned) and the representatives are generally untrustworthy creeps....

Yes, I understand but that is something we cannot do anything about. This situation is not just restricted to India and users in such areas have my sympathies when thing go wrong.

Read it in conjunction with my remark "hardly a do it yourself job":

meaning I rather have this issue than bringing it to "experts" to repair.

Only if you get a total refund or a new package unopened item, I would make the trip.

Sry that I didn't reply for three days but I had to travel urgently. I contacted the store from which I bought this machine and they're again and again asking me to go to the service centre and that replacement is impossible it seems. They're saying that they'll provide a replacement only within 48 hrs of purchase and that too for a manufacturing issue only. I called Apple support, they guided me thru reinstallation of the OS again but still the issue is not solved. They're asking me to go to an authorised service centre and call them from there so that they can directly talk with the guys over there. What do u think? Should I do it?? The last time I went there, that guy had no clue about the issue and he asked me to give it to him for 5 days so that he could run tests on it. But I was hesitant to do that.

What do u think? Should I do it?? Is there no solution to this problem. After all MBA is not cheap right?? I should be having a flawless experience

I am not sure what the best advice is. My "feelings" about it are in my last message to Ogelthorpe.

Warranty or service for Macbookair is not just in the country where you bought it, but also in other countries (contrary to iPhones).
