There's 5 places on your iPad that an Apple ID may be used.
iCloud
iTunes & App Stores
Messages
Facetime
And actual Apps.
If you are signed in to another Apple Id for any of those services under Settings->[service], then sign out and sign in with the one you want.
Other than that, if Apps are requesting a specific Apple ID when updating, then the only way to get rid of it, is to delete the App requesting it. As Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID that bought / downloaded them.
Beyond that you really really need to answer the question of where on your iPad you are seeing this other ID.

Hi
Make sure the apple id you wish to use is at the bottom
Of main page in itunes.
The go to settings - iCloud back up now .
Then restore iPad back to factory settings .
Use same apple ID & iCloud back up set up over your WiFi
To get apps/ data back .
Cheers
Brian
That doesn't answer my question. What do you see in Setttings > iTunes and App Stores > Apple ID?
Please post a screenshot.

How do you know this?
Where are you seeing 2 AppleIDs?
They are both iTunes account IDs it seems
Then sign out of the iTunes and App Stores under Settings->iTunes & App Stores, and sign in with the one you want.
Note that all purchases will forever remain tied to the Apple ID that bought them, and Apps will require that Apple ID to update.
And no no way to merge them.
One seems to be @sympatico.ca and the other @yahoo.ca. I can access both via Manage my Account but cant get rid of one. I don't believe I should have two???
Again...where are you seeing them on your iPad?
Yes! Both IDs prompted me to add payment info.
Forget it. For some reason you don't want to answer simple questions or post screenshots. I'm done.
IT appears that my iCloud id is different from my iTunes Id. I want to get rid of the iTunes Id and make it the same as the iCloud one.
I tried that. iTunes won't accept the password for the ID I wish to use.
Then that's a different issue.
If you got to http://appleid.apple.com can you log in with the email and password you wish to use?
