Q: Repeated errors and respawns of postgres Mavericks
I am running Mavericks and Server. The server is on an attached drive.
About every 10 minutes my System log reports errors from com.apple.launchd
1/22/16 11:10:01.987 AM com.apple.launchd[1]: (org.postgresql.postgres[60478]) Exited with code: 2
1/22/16 11:10:01.987 AM com.apple.launchd[1]: (org.postgresql.postgres) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
These will repeat pretty much forever. However postgres is running and the Wiki is working. There may be general system slowness, but it is not pronounced.
Less often I get these (and they may have only come up as I was asking for settings and fullstatus from serveradmin, but it reported postgres:error = "FILE_NOT_FOUND_ERR".
1/22/16 10:57:53.958 AM servermgrd[58860]: servermgr_postgres: missing postgres config file: /Library/Server/PostgreSQL/Config/org.postgresql.postgres.plist
This file is actually located at '/Mercury 1/Server/Web/Config/apache2/webapps/'
1/22/16 10:57:53.967 AM servermgrd[58860]: servermgr_postgres_server: missing postgres config file: /Library/Server/PostgreSQL For Server Services/Config/com.apple.postgres.plist
This file is missing, though I have an old version that used to be at /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
I suppose I should copy or link to these files and see what happens.
